RetailMeNot changed substantially in 2026. Its redesigned Rewards app now combines coupon codes, cash back, a loyalty program, personalized shopping, AI Smart Search, and Scout Price price comparison. 12 The current app says shoppers can save at more than 3,500 participating merchants, earn up to 20% cash back at select retailers, and receive bonus rewards at 200+ Rewards brands. 1 That breadth is useful, but Amazon shoppers should note that RetailMeNot explicitly excludes Amazon from its Guaranteed Savings program. 14
That is not to say RetailMeNot is weak. Its Working Code Promise is a meaningful advantage: RetailMeNot says promo codes for participating merchants are checked before being shown, while its browser extension can test and apply codes automatically. 23 Today Coupon List does not provide a verified-working guarantee or automatic checkout testing. We focus instead on finding Amazon promo-code deals through new deals, categories, favorites, saved-deal expiry reminders, and free shopping calculators.

Common complaints about RetailMeNot
Guaranteed Savings does not cover Amazon
RetailMeNot's current app promises Guaranteed Savings at participating merchants, but its own disclosure specifically excludes Amazon and food merchants. 14 That is an important limitation for anyone comparing it with an Amazon-focused tool. Today Coupon List does not provide a savings guarantee either, but Amazon is our core use case. Start with Amazon promo codes or our guide to finding coupon codes.
The new app does much more than coupon lookup
RetailMeNot's 2026 redesign added personalized shopping feeds, Smart Search, Scout Price, Guaranteed Savings, cash back, and a loyalty program. 2 That makes it a broader shopping platform, but users who only want an Amazon promo code may not need all of those layers. Today Coupon List stays closer to deal discovery, with dedicated collections such as Amazon deals at 50% off or more.
Rewards come with qualifying-purchase rules
RetailMeNot's current Rewards program offers $5 after every two qualifying purchases of at least $25 each during a month at eligible merchants, with up to $50 in monthly bonus rewards. 2 Cash back and bonus rewards can be valuable, but they depend on participating merchants, qualifying purchases, and applicable program terms. Today Coupon List has no rewards wallet, qualification threshold, or payout process.
The browser extension uses shopping activity
Apple's current disclosure for RetailMeNot's Mac extension says browsing history, device identifiers, product interaction, contact information, and diagnostics may be collected, though the listed extension data is described as not linked to identity. 3 The iPhone app has a separate disclosure covering identifiers, product interaction, location, search history, and other usage information. 1 Compare these tradeoffs in our browser extensions guide.
Where RetailMeNot is strong
Its code-verification process is stronger
RetailMeNot's Working Code Promise says promo codes for participating merchants are verified before shoppers see them. 2 The mobile listing says its team continually checks codes and removes expired ones when discrepancies are found, while acknowledging that merchant terms can sometimes change without warning. 1 Today Coupon List removes expired deals on a schedule but does not test every code at checkout or claim that every listed code works.
Cash back and rewards add savings we do not offer
RetailMeNot's current app advertises cash back at more than 3,500 participating merchants, up to 20% back at select retailers, and bonus rewards at more than 200 Rewards brands. 1 Its August 2026 announcement says Guaranteed Savings provides at least 1% cash back across participating merchants in the program. 2 Today Coupon List offers no cashback balance, loyalty bonuses, PayPal payout, or Venmo payout.
Scout Price can compare the total deal
Scout Price, currently labeled beta, is designed to compare product prices while factoring in applicable cash back and other eligible discounts rather than looking only at the sticker price. 2 RetailMeNot's Google Play description also says it can incorporate sitewide sales and coupon codes. 4 Today Coupon List has no cross-store price-comparison engine, so RetailMeNot is stronger when the lowest combined price is your primary goal.
How each one makes money (and what that means for you)
RetailMeNot explicitly says it may earn a commission when users purchase through its links. 13 Its model now layers cashback offers and loyalty rewards onto those retailer relationships, while its browser extension can automatically stack eligible cash back with coupons. 3 Today Coupon List earns Amazon Associates commissions when qualifying purchases follow our links, and the Daily Coupons app can display AdMob banners. Unlike RetailMeNot, we do not return part of affiliate earnings through cash back or rewards.

How to switch
1. Start with fresh Amazon promo codes
Open Daily Coupons or the website and browse by newest, category, or discount. Our 2026-10-01 snapshot showed 169 products added during the previous 24 hours and 870 during seven days, about 124 new deals per day on the seven-day average.
2. Save short-lived deals for later
Favorite products you want to reconsider. The median remaining time in our 2026-10-01 snapshot was 0.4 days, and 65% of live deals were scheduled to end within three days. Expiry reminders can help you return before an offer disappears, but the code still needs to be confirmed at Amazon checkout.
3. Keep RetailMeNot for the features it does better
RetailMeNot can remain useful for non-Amazon shopping, Working Code Promise coverage, cash back, loyalty rewards, automatic extension-based code testing, Smart Search, and Scout Price. 23 Use Today Coupon List separately when your specific goal is finding Amazon promo codes.
4. Check your final Amazon discount
Use the Coupon Stacking Calculator when more than one discount may apply. Then read how to stack Amazon coupons, our cashback apps guide, and ways to save on Amazon. Daily Coupons does not verify every code at checkout, so confirm your final total before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best RetailMeNot alternative for Amazon promo codes?
Today Coupon List is a focused alternative when Amazon promo codes are your main goal. On 2026-10-01, our catalog had 2,519 live deals and 99.8% carried a promo code. RetailMeNot is broader and stronger for code verification, automatic coupon testing, cash back, rewards, and cross-store price comparison. 123
Is Today Coupon List better than RetailMeNot?
They serve different needs. Today Coupon List specializes in Amazon promo-code discovery. RetailMeNot combines coupons, cash back, rewards, Scout Price, Smart Search, personalization, and automatic browser-extension tools across many retailers. 123 RetailMeNot offers more shopping features, while Today Coupon List is intentionally narrower.
Does RetailMeNot verify coupon codes?
Yes, for its Working Code Promise program. RetailMeNot says eligible promo codes for participating merchants are verified before they are shown to shoppers. 2 Its app listing says its team also monitors codes and removes expired ones, while noting that merchant terms can occasionally change before its system catches the update. 1
Does RetailMeNot work for Amazon?
RetailMeNot can contain Amazon savings content, but its current Guaranteed Savings disclosure explicitly excludes Amazon and food merchants. 14 That distinction matters because the guarantee is one of the new app's headline features. Today Coupon List focuses on Amazon promo codes but does not offer a guaranteed-savings or verified-working promise.
Does RetailMeNot have a browser extension?
Yes. RetailMeNot's current Mac App Store listing describes an extension that automatically finds, tests, and applies eligible promo codes and cashback offers while users shop online. 3 It also says eligible cash back can be stacked with supported sales and promo codes. Today Coupon List does not offer a browser extension.
Does RetailMeNot offer cash back?
Yes. The current mobile app says shoppers can earn cash back at more than 3,500 participating merchants and up to 20% at select retailers. 1 RetailMeNot's browser-extension listing says qualifying cash back can be redeemed through PayPal or Venmo. 3 Today Coupon List does not offer cashback.
How does the RetailMeNot Rewards program work?
RetailMeNot's August 2026 announcement says members earn $5 after every two qualifying purchases of at least $25 each during a month at eligible merchants. Members can earn up to $50 in bonus rewards per month under the current program. 2 Check current offer terms because merchant and purchase eligibility can vary.
What is RetailMeNot Scout Price?
Scout Price is RetailMeNot's beta price-comparison technology. The company says it compares prices and factors in applicable cash back and other eligible savings when estimating the available deal. 2 Its current Google Play listing also mentions sitewide sales and coupon codes in the calculation. 4 Today Coupon List has no equivalent comparison engine.
Can I use RetailMeNot and Today Coupon List together?
Yes. Use Daily Coupons for Amazon promo-code discovery and RetailMeNot for broader retailer coverage, Working Code Promise offers, automatic coupon testing, cash back, rewards, and price comparison. 123 Since RetailMeNot's Guaranteed Savings excludes Amazon, the two tools can cover distinct shopping situations.
Which is better for finding 50% off Amazon deals?
Today Coupon List has a dedicated Amazon high-discount workflow. On 2026-10-01, 1,720 of 2,519 live deals, about 68%, were at least 50% off. RetailMeNot covers many more merchants and savings types, while its Guaranteed Savings program explicitly excludes Amazon. 14
